Want to make a gun guy’s eyes roll? Call a magazine a clip. Yes, I know, the clip vs magazine debate is pedantic and I sometimes struggle with correcting people as it easily can make you look like a gun snob.
However, when I went to the NOSLER factory I realized I too have been using the wrong word to describe a very common part of a gun.
Bullet vs Cartridge.
I usually just call cartridges bullets when in reality that’s not the case. The bullet is only one part of a cartridge. I’ll still call a cartridge a bullet but for the sake of education here is the difference.
